Tekhelet is a Hebrew word for a special blue that was the dye color of one thread that was supposed to be woven into the hem of the Hebrew garments. It is a deep color, similar to marina blue. It's purpose was "...to remind one of the color of the sea, which is a reflection of the sky, which reminds one of heaven and in it, God's throne." On the hem of the inside lining and/or on buttons, there is always one thread of blue. Using this blue thread is a way for me to pass along a blessing to all who might wear a Tekhelet Wheel Hat.
